Julie Kershner has been serving as UPSA Assistant Administrator since July 2014.
Julie started working with a management firm in 1988 and joined the R. Bruce Kershner Company in 1989. She has been Secretary/Treasurer and Office Manager of the R. Bruce Kershner Company since 1995. Throughout her time with the R. Bruce Kershner, she has managed as many as 10 associations/companies simultaneously. In 1995, Julie was responsible for the day-to-day operations of all the associations as well as the employees of R. Bruce Kershner Company.
Julie has organized board meetings, conventions, fishing tournaments, golf tournaments, auctions/barbecues and receptions. Events ranged in size from small to large all across the state with the largest being a convention with over 400 attendees. She has handled solicitation of sponsorships for the various events, created brochures and programs and assembled registration packages; prepared packages and minutes for board and committee meetings; maintained membership database; created and typed daily correspondence; prepared monthly financial statements; gathered information and worked with the CPA for them to prepare the yearly tax returns; handled accounts payables and receivables; answered telephones; solicited advertisers for monthly magazines and directories; created and prepared monthly newsletters and magazines and directories for printers; maintained website; maintained communications with the membership; and maintained websites. Julie also worked with a trade association to compile, submit to and receive approval from the Internal Revenue Service to establish a 501(c)(3) for a scholarship foundation.
